Hausgemachtes deutsches Essen ist schwer zu schlagen. Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln, Knödel und andere deutsche Gerichte haben viele Fans. Und manchmal ist es schön, in ein Restaurant zu gehen und eine Mahlzeit zu genießen, ohne die Arbeit zu erledigen. Wir sagen Euch, wo ihr in der Region um Washington, DC, der US-Hauptstadt, gute Restaurants mit deutschen Gerichten findet. Zayus Clark (17 Jahre), Celina Fratzscher (15 Jahre) und Sarah Settels (16 Jahre) von der WORTSPIEL-Redaktion haben drei Restaurants besucht: Café Berlin, Café Mozart und The Berliner.

Your student correspondents did not include Old Europe Restaurant at Calvert and Wisconsin Streets in NW Washington DC. It serves mostly German and Austrian food. Please visit there and include them in future reports.
Thank you for your comment. Our students were working on a time-restricted project. They had such a blast conducting research on German foods, traditions, etc. We certainly wish we could have included all the wonderful German, Swiss, and Austrian restaurants. The GLC has, however, worked with the restaurant you’ve mentioned in the past. We also invite different food vendors to our Christmas Market and other events at our school.
We hope you liked our video and will continue to enjoy the international cuisine in Washington and the surrounding areas.
